HOWO trucks are equipped with various engine brands, including Weichai engines, Sinotruk self-produced engines and German MAN engines. The following are some common HOWO truck engine product introductions:
Weichai engine
- WP15 series: It belongs to the 15-liter National VI series engine, with a maximum power output of 680 horsepower. It is powerful and can meet the needs of long-distance heavy-duty transportation. It is first installed on Sinotruk HOWO TH7, T7H and other models.
- WP12 series: The power range covers 430 to 460 horsepower, and the maximum torque is up to 2200N.m. It is called the golden power in coal transportation. It is famous for its stability and reliability, strong power, and can cope with various complex road conditions.
- WP6N series: It is installed on the HOWO N5W model, with a maximum torque of 800N.m, a displacement of 6L, and a common and abundant power. It is matched with Sinotruk's 8-speed manual transmission and is suitable for urban logistics distribution and other working conditions.
- WP13NG series: This natural gas engine has 480 horsepower and can produce a maximum torque of 2300Nm in the speed range of 1000-1300rpm. It has mature technology and a large market share. The upgraded new generation NG4.0 gas-powered WP13NG has a 13% increase in power and torque, to 540 horsepower and 2600N.m.
SINOTRUK self-produced engine
- D10 series: such as D10.27, D10.29, D10.34, D10.38 and other models, tailor-made for HOWO-A7, using the mid-mounted supercharger technology, which has brought substantial changes to the intake and exhaust systems, with smooth intake and simple exhaust, improving fuel economy.
- D12 series: It is one of the most representative heavy-duty truck engines in China, with a power range of 340-460Ps, large displacement and high power. It enables the vehicle to obtain power from low idle speed. The wide speed range enables the whole machine to obtain a constant power value and maximum torque value, with good fuel economy and driving performance, and the overhaul mileage is more than 1 million kilometers.
German MAN Engine
- MC05, MC07 series: These two engines have good fuel economy and reliability, suitable for medium and short-distance transportation and urban logistics distribution, and can meet the needs of different users.
